Nigeria charges African aviators on transparent financial practices

The Nigerian federal government has urged aviation operators across Africa to adopt transparent financial practices in line with the Cape Town Convention and related aviation-financing rules, signalling deeper compliance demands in the sector.

Nigeria’s federal government has charged aviation operators in Africa to be transparent and responsible in their financial practices as part of the implementation of the Cape Town Convention.
The country’s global aviation rating under the Convention rose to 75.5 %, marking a major step in Nigeria’s compliance with international aircraft-financing standards.
Speaking at the Convention’s African forum in Abuja, the (NCAA) and the urged consistent enforcement of the Convention across African states.
